Happy Friday! I’m so happy that it’s time for another coffee date with you. In case you’re new around here, I host a coffee date linkup every fourth Friday of the month. This is a time for us to catch up on life lately and meet other bloggers as well! Simply link up a post that catches us up on life with you–the highs and the lows. You can link up a new post, or one that you’ve written in the last few weeks. As long as you fill us in on what’s going on with you! So what are you waiting for? Grab a big cup of coffee, and let’s catch up!
Before you share your life update, I’m going to share some highs and lows from the last few weeks. This month has gone by so quickly. It feels like I blinked and July was nearly over, which makes me sad. I have really loved my summer break, probably too much. This has been a “working” summer, and by “work” I mean playing with flowers, booking events, and meeting new people! Some people might call it work, I call it fun. Isn’t this what your dream job is supposed to feel like?
Things are about to get pretty tricky, though. On Monday I begin my fifth year teaching, while also making time for my family, floral design business, the blog, social life, and church. I don’t think it’s going to be easy at all, but I know I’ll make it through. Needless to say, it’s going to be a crazy year!
Anyways, on to my highs and lows of the last couple of weeks:
Not many lows at all, and most of them I mentioned above. Going back to work is going to be difficult, but I feel blessed and honored with my new position at my school. I’m going to make the most of it. Saying goodbye to slow mornings, lots of free time, and lots of floral design time is not going to be easy.
Did you see that Better Homes and Gardens gave me a pretty big shoutout on their Instagram? Holla! I was so excited, happy, and super surprised!
I finally got to meet a sweet blog friend of mine, Katie of Twin Stripe! She came to Atlanta for a blog conference and we met for a yummy lunch and cocktails at True Food Kitchen. Delish! It was so good to meet Katie! She is incredibly sweet and so easy to talk to. Love her!
Lots and lots of floral design planning is going on for weddings this fall! I can’t wait to get my hands on the flowers!
A few weeks ago I met up with Ashley of The Shine Project! There were a handful of other Atlanta area creatives and bloggers, and it was really cool connecting with them too. Ashley brought each of us some bracelets, and we just sat around and shared stories while eating some yummy ice cream. Such a fun experience!
I finally got a french press, and my life is changed! If you’ve never tried it…do it! I bought mine at Walmart for like 17 dollars, and it makes better coffee than my keurig ever has. Sorry keurig.
Head over to my sweet cohost’s blog and read her coffee date post! Lauren of Sincerely, Lo has some exciting things going on and is in the process of starting her own business! Tell me, what’s new with you? What are your highs and lows from the last few weeks? Link up a post below that fills us in on life lately, or give us an update in the comments below. Also, feel free to click around on the posts and leave some encouraging comments! Use hashtag #coffeedatefriday to share the love on Twitter and Instagram.
