Hooray for Friday! It has felt like a very long week, so I’m extra thankful to greet the weekend. What do you have planned? I’m hosting a dinner party to raise money for some of my sweet friends who are moving to Bosnia for missions. I’m making lots of baked ziti, THE bread, and peanut butter pies. Comfort food at its finest, people.
I always love sharing the bits and pieces from my Pinterest boards that inspire me each month. I have definitely come down with the itch to travel. My sister and I are thinking a girls trip to Napa Valley is in order asap. We can dream, right? Another reason why I love this Pinspiring series? I get to invite my large ad sponsors to join in with me. Yay!
Here are some of the things that have been pinspiring me this month…
DESIGN | I think this wallpaper made from maps is absolutely genius. One day, I will have an office and one wall will be covered in maps…or florals…or watercolor paint. I can’t decide! One wall of each? Okay!
EAT | Everyone knows I could eat Mexican food or tacos every night of the week. Sadly, they just aren’t that good for ya. So, when I saw this recipe I got the idea to make the taco insides normally, but bake it inside of a vegetable like this zucchini recipe. I know, not as fun as a tortilla. I’ll try it and let you know what I think!
WEAR | I’m all about mixing some patterns, so this floral and gingham mix is so fun to me. I really want to find some gingham patterned flats (or striped ones) that I can pair with skinnies and floral tops this spring and summer.
GO | Like I said, my sister and I are dreaming up a Napa Valley vacation. I saw this photo on Instagram this morning, and immediate tagged my sister in it to show her. The vineyard, the pool, the wine. How perfect does that sound? The photo pictured above is from the same inn. We really want to go!
CREATE | These watercolor flowers are so pretty. The simpleness of them inspires me to go grab my watercolors and paint up something pretty. I have a feeling I’m going to be playing around with watercolors a lot this summer. PS, did I mention summer break is in less than 25 school days?
Now on for my large ad sponsors. Let’s see what’s inspiring them!
“I couldn’t not pick this gorgeous image – my blog is called the Blue Dishes, after all! I’ve collected blue-and-white china for four or five years by now, in a mix of modern & antique patterns. I loved how the photographer here paired a classic gingham top with the antique teacup – it’s perfect!
The laundry close it a more practical choice – we’ve just bought a house, and the laundry space is at the top of our list to remodel. This one in particular almost makes me drool – I love how clean, crisp, and functional the setup is. Yes, please.”
