Reading lesson plans, teaching blogs, and guidelines. This week that is all I have time to read! I have very little downtime lately, but this weekend I’m definitely going to pick back up Bread & Wine. I started it while I was in France, and I can’t wait to continue reading. Have you read it yet? I highly recommend! I’ve laughed, cried, and been inspired…and I’m only like 3 or 4 chapters in!
Enjoying quiet time at home after a busy, fast-paced day with 24 littles. The lights are off, my feet are up, I’ve got my Lucy girl, and I’m finally slowing down. I’ve gotten behind on some of my blog favorites in the last week or so, and I’m enjoying catching up!
Photographing my new classroom! I snapped a shot from my desk just minutes before my kiddos came in on the first day of school. Can you tell I’m a little excited about my new job? 😉
Feeling overwhelmed. I won’t go into details, because I’m sure it’ll bore you. But getting used to a new school is harder than I expected. This morning I woke up anxious and feeling inadequate–like I’m not ready or that I don’t know what I’m doing. There is just so much expected of us (understandably so), and so many extra things we are required to do on top of teaching and running a classroom. It’s a lot. I’m trying my best to stay calm and stay organized.
Listening to Young the Giant. Do yourselves a favor and watch this video. You’ll fall in love! I may have seen this band 5 times…and held the lead singers hand once while he crowd surfed. Nbd.
